As we age we lose volume to our face, in particular the cheeks, the temple region, and around the mouth. This loss of volume is what causes the skin to sag and to lose it’s structure. As a result we may feel like we look older than we really are.
A collagen replenishing treatment helps to gradually and subtly reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and folds by stimulating the growth of your own collagen, adding volume where it has been lost. The results are very natural looking and can last for up to 3 ½ years.
- Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or Microneedling
- We offer CIT as an injectable or by Micropen treatment. These treatments are also known as the "Vampire Facelift" or "Vampire Facial" respectively.
What is Microneedling?
Micro-needling, sometimes called collagen induction therapy, uses a small tool with a varying number of microscopic needles, usually 15 to 25, each smaller than the width of a human hair. Needle length adjusts, depending on the treatment area. When applied to the skin, it creates controlled, microscopic wounds that are invisible to the naked eye. The micro-injuries to the skin initiate the skin’s repair process which includes naturally producing collagen to the affected area. Even when the procedure includes no topical treatment, the rush of collagen and elastin to heal these microscopic wounds improves the skin’s appearance and reduces signs of aging.
Microneedling with PRP Overview
Micro-needling therapy introduces controlled, microscopic skin injuries via micro-needles, inducing the body to increase production of collagen and elastin, repairing and improving the skin’s appearance. Needle length is adjustable for pinpoint accuracy in treating the diverse areas of the face, eyes, neck, and body. This technique is also used in combination with topical treatments, as the micro-channels allow deeper penetration of the patient’s chosen treatment.
